Safety Professional

Local Division 5 & Division 9 Contractor- Central and West Texas

Local established drywall, steel erection, and painting contractors serving Central and West Texas, is seeking an experienced Safety Professional to develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive company-wide safety programs.

This is a full-time, salaried position that combines office-based responsibilities with regular travel to active construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain company safety policies and procedures
  • Create and deliver driver training programs
  • Compile and manage training and maintenance records for cranes, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and company vehicles
  • Conduct annual motor vehicle record (MVR) reviews for all employees
  • Deliver OSHA-compliant training in general construction, steel erection, drywall/metal stud framing, and Hazard Communication (HazCom)
  • Perform regular job-site safety inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
  • Investigate incidents, maintain required documentation, and implement corrective actions
  • Serve as the primary resource for transportation and general safety compliance

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience in construction safety and transportation safety
  • Formal education, certifications, or equivalent institutional knowledge in occupational health and safety (CSHO, ASP, CSP, or similar preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA 1926 Construction Standards
  • Excellent record-keeping, training, and communication skills
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout Central and West Texas
