Dylan Romo, CSP, CIH, ARM, CRM has served the Southwest Chapter as Treasurer and Secretary. He also coordinated the Chapter’s 2018 Professional Development Conference (PDC) and was the principal author of the most recent revision of the Chapter Bylaws. Dylan has also served the ASSP Foundation for two years as a scholarship selection participant.
Dylan has a Master of Science degree in Occupational & Environmental Health from the University of Oklahoma’s Health Sciences Center and has worked in the field and occupational safety and health for 27 years. Starting as an industrial hygienist for the Dow Chemical Company and ARCO/Lyondell, Dylan subsequently moved to the commercial insurance industry and into the broader field of risk management, where he was a Vice President of Loss Control for Lockton Companies.
Dylan is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), an Associate in Risk Management (ARM), a Certified Risk Manager (CRM), and an OSHA Outreach Trainer for General Industry. He is currently employed as Senior Consultant for John A. Jurgiel & Associates, a privately-held IH, Safety, and Risk Consulting firm based in St. Louis, where he is tasked with expanding the firm’s reach and influence beyond the Midwest. Dylan’s expertise in the identification and control of noise, beryllium, hexavalent chromium, and crystalline silica exposures (both in Construction and General Industry) provide a platform for that expansion.
