David Osmun is currently serving as the VP of Communications for the Southwest Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals. David currently works for Texas Instruments Incorporated where he is the ESH Manager. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio in Environmental, Safety & Occupational Health Management. He completed his Associate Safety Professional (ASP) in 2017. He has previously worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber, Pittsburgh Glass Works, Bridgestone APM, and Midwest Acoust-A-Fiber.
David joined the ASSP in 2003 and has been a member of several different chapters over the years of membership. He has viewed his membership in ASSP as one of his best means of professional development, particularly in his early years of career advancement. David is excited to actively serve the Chapter members and the Society at-large.
David is a seasoned Environmental, Health & Safety professional with 20 years of experience in light and heavy manufacturing, as well as design and sales functions of business, with a proven history of continuous improvement, employee engagement and ownership, risk identification, and reduced cost to the business through prevention and claims management. David has completed numerous training and certifications such as RCRA, DOT, HAZWOPER, and OSHA 511.
