WISE stands for Women in Safety Excellence, a vibrant ASSP Common Interest Group that supports the advancement of women in the safety profession through education, mentorship, networking, collaboration, and leadership development.
And don’t worry – it’s not just for women! We love our WISE guys too! This is a space for everyone who’s passionate about building a more inclusive and effective safety culture.
Why WISE Matters
The safety profession should reflect the diversity of the workforce it serves. Diverse safety leaders foster trust, connection, and more effective safety outcomes. WISE helps make that happen by
- Promoting equity and advancement of women in safety
- Offering leadership and education opportunities
- Creating local, national, and virtual networking spaces
- Advocating for OSH issues affecting women in the workplace
